‘For Valour – the Story of the Victoria Cross’

You are cordially invited to attend the London Mark Provincial Mess annual dinner at the Union Jack Club, Waterloo on Tuesday 21 April. The bar will be open from 6:00pm. Our speaker will commence his talk at 6:45 pm which will be followed by the dinner.
|We will hear a unique and engaging talk from Bro. Mark Smith entitled ‘For Valour – the Story of the Victoria Cross’. This explores the beginnings of the Victoria Cross and illustrates the heroism demonstrated through the stories of some of the men who have been awarded this country’s highest award for bravery.
Mark was the curator of the Royal Artillery Museum in Woolwich for 14 years. He is a military historian, battlefield tour guide and television and radio presenter. He holds a Masters degree in Museum Studies graduating from UCL in 2007. He is a Mark Mason, currently the Senior Warden in Maguncor Mark Lodge. In Craft he is the Provincial Grand Orator for the province of Essex.
Please note that numbers are restricted to 100, so book early to ensure a place which will be allocated on a first come basis. No tickets will be issued.
The silk Mess ties will be available for purchase (£18) at the dinner.
