London Mark Abseil Challenge – 6 June, 2026
To keep in line with the previous year’s fundraising event, this year we have put together another 4 man team to take on the challenge of abseiling down the world’s largest abseil tower in aid of the London Mark Prostate Cancer Appeal. More details about the abseil challenge itself can be found here.
The 4 man team consists of V. W. Bro. Jon Wallis A.Prov.G.M., W. Bro Brian McCormack Prov.G.Ch.Stwd, W. Bro. Simon Dodd Prov.A.D.C. and W. Bro. Peter Malmstrom Prov.A.D.C., and they will take on the challenge of abseiling down the 418 foot tower on 6 June!
Money can be donated for this challenge via the team GiveTap page here or via the Lodge Relief chest scheme by raising a voucher directed towards the MMML 2061 relief chest (London Charity Stewards Lodge of MMM). You can also sponsor each individual member of the team here.
The proceeds of the abseil will go towards The London Mark Prostate Cancer Appeal. The Province has already paid for the screening of 130 members for prostate cancer – and will look to screen more members soon, along with supporting other prostate charities.
Prostate cancer will affect at least 1 in 8 men – more if there is a family history or other circumstances.
The team is really are risking their lives to save the lives of others.
