Once again there was a splendid turnout of just over 100 Brethren at the Union Jack Club to attend the Provincial Grand Officers and to listen to a fascinating lecture from W. Bro. Brian Francois on the livery companies of London. After the questions and answers at the end of the talk the Brethren settled down to an enjoyable Union Jack Club festive board during which the customary raffle was held. The evening concluded with the Mess President RW. Bro. Eddie Goodwin inviting the PGM up to the podium to say a few word after which he thanked the PGM on behalf of all the members present for all the hard work he has done for the province during his time in office. The Mess Chairman then concluded the evening by informing all those present that the next Provincial Grand Officers Mess would be a lunch on the 30th October at the Imperial Hotel and expressed a wish that we should try to have at least 150 members attending.
