Mark Masons' Hall, 86 St. James’s Street, London
Hello,

RW PGM David Ashbolt and Delegation on a Full Team Visit to Scots Lodge No 406 with the Mad Axeman in tow!!

To try to detail all the names of the Delegates who attended on the PGM would be a bit of a mission! Suffice to say it was of very respectable size and, naturally, of great quality! Charlie Newman assisted RW Bro David Ashbolt in the presentation of Axe Number 60 to the WM W Bro John Ellis who received it on behalf of the Lodge at the same time as he also received the Grand Patron Gold award for the Lodge’s contributions to the MBF.

John Ellis was proclaimed as Worshipful Master for the forthcoming year and proceeded to install his Officers of the year in a most sincere fashion. After the business of the Lodge concluded we repaired (after a quick libation) to the Festive Board including Haggis and a Piper, where Burns’ whimsical Address to the Haggis was delivered with great feeling by our DepPGM, W Bro Tom Quinn (who just happens to be a member of Scots) (I wonder, why?).

The PGM, accompanied by the DepPGM and almost held in check by the Provincial GDC – Wes Hollands –  then paid a flying visit to Epworth and Prudence & Verity to wish them all well.

Everyone enjoyed themselves without the shadow of a doubt. Even Wes was seen to break out in a smile, once!

See you all again soon.

Chris
