Mark Masons' Hall, 86 St. James’s Street, London
Hello,

The meeting of the London Mark Provincial Grand Lodge on 11th July 2019

The 11th July turned out to be a glorious day not only for London but also for London Mark Masonry as the Brethren of the province turned out in their droves to witness the Installation of their new Provincial Grand Master. The proceedings were opened by RW. Bro. Brian Vickers who opened the London Provincial Grand Lodge. There was an Alarm and it was announced that the Pro. Grand Master MW. Bro. Ray Smith was outside the door of the Temple and demanded admission. The Pro. Grand Master entered the Provincial Grand Lodge, occupied the chair of Adoniram and invited the Grand Senior and Junior Wardens to occupy their respective chairs and the Grand Inner guard to do likewise. The Pro Grand Master then proceeded to install VW. Bro. Tom Quinn as our next Provincial Grand Master in a most solemn and moving ceremony.

The Pro Grand Master then vacated the chair and our new Provincial Grand Master appointed and invested his new Deputy Provincial Grand Master and his Assistant Provincial Grand Masters.

Having completed his executive team our new Provincial Grand Master called off the lodge to retire to the Connaught Rooms for lunch where our new Provincial Grand Master presented the Installing Pro. Grand Master with some Scottish themed thank you presents and a rather loud tartan carrier bag to carry them home with. So as not to be left out the Grand Secretary and the Grand D.C. also got Scottish themed thank you presents to mark the occasion. The delightful lunch was accompanied by the usual musical entertainment which was thoroughly enjoyed by all those Brethren who were present.

The lunch being ended the Provincial Grand Lodge was called on again and our new Provincial Grand Master Appointed and Invested his active Provincial Grand Offices after which he invested all those Provincial Grand Officers who had received promotions and all those Brethren who had received their first appointments.

After the meeting was over the general consensus of opinion was that it was a most memorable day and the Brethren all went their various ways content in the knowledge that the Province has a new dynamic and resourceful executive.
