Grand Master's Lodges of Instruction

The GMLOI is sponsored by the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons and is open to all Mark Master Masons and Royal Ark Mariners from all Provinces within the Constitution. Indeed we often have members from West Lancashire as well as all the Provinces from around London.

The Grand Director of Ceremonies (R.W.Bro Kessick Jones) is the current Chairman of the Committee which has responsibility for the organisation of the activities. V.W.Bro David F Paschois is the Preceptor and is assisted by a Secretary, Treasurer, Festival Secretary, Assistant Secretary and two Assistant Preceptors. The GMLOI is very well supported from a Province of London point of view as the DPGM W.Bro Tom Quinn is one of the Assistant Preceptors.

Meetings are usually held at Mark Masons’ Hall on the first and third Mondays in each month except at Christmas and Easter times. Dates for all meetings are published in a small pamphlet which may be obtained from Mark Masons’ Hall or may be found on the London Mark Provincial website. Life Membership is £10 for both Mark and R.A.M.

The highlight of each year is a Festival which is hosted in rotation by different Mark Provinces. Many of you may remember the 2016 Festival, hosted by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of London and held in the Grand Temple at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street and was attended by over 500 Brethren. The Deputy Grand Master R.W.Bro. Ray Smith was in attendance with R.W.Bro. David Ashbolt as the Festival President. The 2017 Festival is to be under the Presidency of R.W.Bro George Bonham, the Provincial Grand Master for Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire and will be held at Sheaf Close, Northampton on Tuesday 25th April 2017. A courtesy coach has been arranged to take any London brethren to and from Northampton and bookings may be made on application to David Stiff, Assistant Preceptor at
