Provincial Annual Meeting – 11 July, 2024
After months in the planning the big day finally arrived – with signage to put up, welcome packs to fill and rehearsals to perform. From about noon, there was a trickle of brethren arriving which soon built up to a veritable flood as several hundred took their seats in the Grand Temple ahead of the processions.
The ProvGM’s procession into Grand Temple was accompanied by the swirl of the London Celtic Pipes and Drums. Once he was seated, it was the turn of the Worshipful Masters, Worshipful Commanders and a very long procession of newly-Advanced brethren.
The business of Provincial Grand Lodge was carried out with it’s usual efficiency and good humour, which saw W. Bros. David Nunn and Robert Anderson invested as the newest Assistant Provincial Grand Masters. There was also a cheque for £25,000 to present to representatives of Metropolitan Grand Lodge/Metropolitan Grand Chapter in support of the London Air Ambulance Appeal. This was on top of the £50,000 we gave to the Appeal in November 2023.

Once the meeting ended, there were drinks in the bar before over 400 brethren sat down to dine in the Grand Connaught Rooms.
