The Assistant Provincial Grand Master W. Bro. Henry Hobson and a delegation of Provincial Grand Officers visit Polytechnic lodge on the 17th April 2018.
On the evening of the 17th April W. Bro. Henry Hobson accompanied by a number provincial grand officers attended the April meeting of Polytechnic lodge.
Due to the unavoidable absence of the scheduled Escorting Officer W. Bro. Forbs Cutler (a current E.O.) stepped in at the last moment and carried out those duties in an exemplary manner.
The main items on the agenda was to prepare for the forthcoming Installation meeting by electing a Master, Treasurer and Tyler for the ensuing masonic year.
This was then followed by the Master W. Bro. Mark Jacobs who gave us a most informative and enjoyable lecture on a brief history on the early days of Mark Masonry and on the formative years of the Polytechnic lodge. Though it was a relatively short meeting the general consensus of opinion amongst the visiting Brethren in attendance was that it indeed added to their daily advancement in masonic knowledge and was well worth the visit.
After the usual group photo the Brethren then retired to enjoy a carvery festive board in the Earl of Euston room.
